Yoga is the process of encountering mysteries in ourselves, and delighting when we find new understanding.
This workshop is dedicated toward a part of our body that is very strong, yet can also be a confusing or scary place to work on. After all, the lumbar spine is the most common area of discomfort or injury — both for the general population and for yoga practitioners. In this workshop, Autumn will guide you through self assessment of gentle yoga movement and postures to make you feel at home in your body. She will address the role of the muscles and joints of the lumbar spine in stability through breathing and movement.
This workshop is for you if:
- You need a reboot of your forward folds or backward bends.
- You have difficulty feeling how your lumbar spine moves.
- You would like to understand which cues for the lumbar spine apply to your unique body.
- You are working with low back issues.
- You are are yoga teacher looking to refine your cuing to promote lower back resilience and injury prevention.
