Meditation 101 is accessible and practical. And through the practical, we will reach something beyond measure.
With consistent practice, meditation can have a stunning impact on your life. But for many students (beginners as well as those who have been meditating awhile), meditation can seem vague and frustrating – so they practice infrequently or simply bail.
In this workshop we will explore the following:
- WHAT is meditation? We will get to a clear, non-vague answer.
- WHY meditate? This is the part that will take your breath away. We will explore and share examples of the practical, immediate and profound impact the practice can evoke in all areas of your life. Understanding the ‘why’ fuels consistency and commitment.
- HOW to meditate. Kathleen will break it down to all its simplistic beauty. She will also discuss how to overcome common pitfalls and how to maintain a consistent, lifelong practice. We will then practice what we discuss so that you leave with a solid and easy-to-understand approach.
This workshop will be a combination of lecture, discussion and guided meditation sessions.
