Do you step when a teacher says “hop or step to the top of your mat?” Are you ready to learn the “secret” how to float? Or do you simply want to learn how to engage your core more in your practice?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then this Master Class is for you.
In this workshop, Jess will teach you the basic elements of how to float to the top of your mat. This workshop will help you find and awaken your deep abdominal muscles (Transverse Abdominis) and help you develop the necessary shoulder strength needed to push off the mat. You will gain understanding of how the combination of core engagement, shoulder strength, and hip mobility are the building blocks to float your feet.
If you feel stuck in your practice, this workshop will show you ways to push beyond those perceived limitations. Jess will help you find connection in your body with attention and intention to help establish and build core strength to get your feet off the mat.
This workshop is all-levels. Jess will offer simple to advanced methods to learn what it takes to float your feet. Come with an open mind and expect to push your practice in this strength-based Master Class.
Don’t let the word “master” scare you, these classes are for everyone. Master classes are an invaluable way to grow and enrich an existing yoga practice. The teacher will demonstrate, breakdown and workshop designated postures and sequences—including alignment, benefits, and contraindications. This allows each practitioner to go into chosen postures with more depth and instructional detail than in a regular class. Master classes tend to focus on subtle, finer points within a pose, and can change one’s entire practice with a single A-ha moment.
