Initially I was a reluctant yogi. I literally had to be pulled into a class, preferring my spin classes and weight lifting to this yoga thing. Within a few months time I was singing a different tune. I felt stronger and calmer. Happier even. I made time in my schedule to get to yoga classes. I soaked up what my teachers were sharing as they taught class. My practice grew and I felt this shift to learn even more about yoga. I took my 200 hour teacher training at Empower Yoga in Appleton, WI, graduating in 2013. I continue to be a student of yoga, completing Prenatal Yoga teacher training and Yoga for Breast Cancer Patients.
My teaching style tends to be challenging yet nurturing, offering space for students to explore and move at their own pace. I strive to create a calm and supportive space as I guide class.
When my husband and I moved to Madison a short time ago, I began practicing at The Studio and felt like I had found a yoga home. I am grateful to the teachers and students who welcomed me into this tribe.
