It isn’t about judging or being judged. It isn’t doing something because it’s easy.
And it definitely isn’t, “Who can stand on their head the longest?”
Namadu is about turning boredom on its head. It’s being who you want to be and empowering others to do the same. It’s “Wow! I didn’t know I could do that.”
So, are you gonna do what everyone expects you to do?
Namadu Yoga
The fifth-graders who make up Namadu learn so much more than yoga poses. They also learn to bring mindfulness, confidence and an open heart to the rest of their lives. With an emphasis on learning at an individual pace, students of all skill levels walk away from Namadu with a funky new perspective on their potential.
“The instructors were so welcoming to the students and flowed with their moods each week, and I can’t thank them enough for their patience.”

Kathleen Slattery-Moschkau, Namadu Founder
and Owner of The Studio
I can’t imagine the stress of being a kid today. Nor can I imagine how their lives will play out without adequate movement. I want to expose kids early to the awesome options of yoga and meditation. We need to empower them and show them it can be done anywhere, anytime and that yoga is for every single person on this planet.
Sarah Koler, Program Director and Teacher
More than ever, children need and deserve positive outlets that teach and encourage creative expression, kindness and awareness. Watching the students transform and grow through their practice truly feeds my soul
Jessica Winkler, Teacher
Namadu provides a safe environment for students to become aware of their body and mind, by harnessing the power of the use of their breath. It’s never too early to learn mindful movement.
Tiffany Jo, Teacher
Yoga has been so transformational for me that I cannot think of a more worthy cohort to share the practice with than children. I love channeling their natural playfulness into intentional form, from the challenging arm balances to the restorative, quiet moments.
