Kristin (Cricket) Redman, RYT, teaches a powerful and playful class emphasizing form and flow. She began practicing yoga in 1990 as a means to build strength and flexibility to compliment the other sports she played in college (ice hockey, running and crew). After an on again/off again relationship with her mat, Cricket connected to the power of a regular practice in 1999 as a path to healing, and self knowledge. Today she embraces the more subtle effects of yoga on her body, mind and spirit both on and off the mat. As a teacher she emphasizes alignment and movement of energy in a vinyasa class that is paced to match one breath per movement with occasional holds to build strength, balance and endurance. Her classes are all-level classes provided with options to modify to fit the individual using props and variations to take poses in new directions in ways that encourages exploration and knowledge of the self.
She has completed teacher trainings asana and meditation with Sianna Sherman, Christina Sell, Sam Rice and Gioconda Parker and with locals Iris Mickey, Sarah Higgins, Meg Newlin, and Keith Borden. She is working toward her 500hr RYT certification with Christina Sell’s Alchemy of Flow and Form Program.
